The Holocaust and Jewish life in Luxembourg: filling the gaps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The gaps in the history of the Holocaust in Luxembourg and the current legacies of the Holocaust (spoliation, postwar Jewish community) were the focus of <strong>short presentations<\/strong> and discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Vincent Artuso<\/strong> (Historian): L&#8217;\u00c9tat luxembourgeois et la &#8220;Question juive&#8221;. 1930-1950<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Denis Scuto<\/strong> (C\u00b2DH): L\u2019\u00c9tat luxembourgeois et le retour des Juifs au Luxembourg en 1945<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Elisabeth Hoffmann<\/strong> and <strong>J\u00e9r\u00f4me Courtoy<\/strong> (Mus\u00e9e national de la R\u00e9sistance): Luxemburger und der Holocaust. Holocaust research in the digital age<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The second part of the event offered the opportunity to learn more about new possibilities and methodologies for Holocaust research. Visitors could walk around a series of work stations featuring the following <strong>project demonstrations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Arolsen Archives<\/strong>, presented by Christiane Weber<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI)<\/strong>, presented by Adina Babe\u015f-Fruchter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Database of 3.100 foreign Jews in Luxembourg in 1940: statistical exploitation, graphs, maps, visualisations<\/strong>, presented by Marc Gloden and Robert Be\u021ba (C\u00b2DH)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Iwalk (Jewish community in Esch and Luxembourg)<\/strong>, presented by Jakub Bronec (C\u00b2DH)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><strong>Digitised private archives of the Harf Family (1940-1947) as part of a website project about the Jewish community in Luxembourg<\/strong>, presented by Georges B\u00fcchler (C\u00b2DH)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"3-combating-anti-semitism-in-contemporary-europe3\"\n    >\n3. Combating anti-Semitism in contemporary Europe3. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>What is the state of anti-Semitism in Europe, and Luxembourg, today? How can it be situated within the broader context of rising hate speech and crime, online and offline? What methods are being proposed to combat it? How does it relate to politics and the broader memory battles that are being fought in Europe today?
