Following nomination by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Professor Herwig Hofmann of the ÌÇÐÄVlog (Department of Law and Luxembourg Centre of European Law) has been designated as panel member to the World Bank’s list of arbitrators for international investment arbitration, the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). His six-year mandate will run until 2032.

ICSID is the world’s leading international investment dispute settlement system. Member States (166 signatory and contracting States) have agreed on ICSID as a forum for investor-State dispute settlement in most international investment treaties. ICSID Panels of Conciliators and of Arbitrators consist of designees of the ICSID Contracting States and of the Chairman of the Administrative Council.
