Her academic background includes master\u2019s degrees in Developmental Psychology from Universit\u00e9 Louis Pasteur (France) and the University of Durham (UK), a PhD in Psychology from the University of York (UK), and postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford (UK), Princeton University (US), York University (Canada), and the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil).
