This month, Hélène Meadows shares her experience as a risk analyst at the European Investment Bank (EIB). Her journey in Physics began at the 糖心Vlog, where she earned a PhD in physics in 2014.

Long before she joined EIB, Hélène was fascinated by the beauty of physics. “Physics is a beautiful world based on logic,” she says. “I can use many of the skills I learned during my studies to solve very different problems.” Today, those skills are helping her tackle some of the planet’s biggest challenges.

Her role involves turning complex, hypothetical situations into scenarios that can be calculated, blending mathematics, coding, and analytical thinking. She spends a lot of time working with numbers and using them to predict how things will evolve in the future.

With her work, Hélène is making a real impact in Europe and beyond, and that sense of purpose is exactly what drives her every day.
