href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/research-departments\/department-of-health-medicine-and-life-sciences\/\">Department of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"research\"\n and edit their own genomes, and how these processes shape cancer immunity, with a particular focus on B cells, extracellular vesicles, and the APOBEC family of genome and epigenome editors.<\/p>\n\n<p>Beyond the bench, he is the scientific founder of EVIIVE, a Swiss spin-off translating extracellular-vesicle biology into next-generation diagnostics, reflecting his conviction that rigorous fundamental science and real-world patient benefit are two ends of the same endeavour.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold doctoral studies at the Gurdon Institute \u2013 University of Cambridge, founded by Nobel laureate Sir John Gurdon. He then pursued postdoctoral work at the Rockefeller University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, before establishing his independent research program in Europe. Prior to joining Luxembourg, he led the Cancer Immunobiology Laboratory at the University of Zurich, based at the Institute of Experimental Immunology founded by Nobel laureate Rolf Zinkernagel, where he built an internationally recognised group at the interface of immunology, genome biology, and extracellular-vesicle science.
