From 6 to 10 July 2026, the ÌÇÐÄVlog, with the support of the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), hosted the on Corporate Policies and Asset Prices in Luxembourg.
The school is an intensive one-week programme designed for PhD students seeking a deep and rigorous understanding of the interaction between corporate decision-making and financial markets. Over the course of five days, 20 PhD students and early-career researchers from around the world gathered to deepen their understanding of current research in corporate finance and asset pricing while engaging with internationally recognised scholars in the field.
The programme featured lectures by Professors Elisa Pazaj, Hengjie Ai, Sebastian Gryglewicz, Frederic Belo, Enrique Schroth, and Roberto Steri, offering participants an in-depth exploration of current research in corporate finance and asset pricing. Topics ranged from numerical methods for dynamic corporate finance models and dynamic corporate finance to production-based asset pricing, production and financing in general equilibrium, granular estimation in dynamic corporate finance, and asset pricing models based on corporate policies.
Beyond the lectures, the summer school provided participants with valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss their research, and build international academic connections.
Feedback from participants
The feedback received after the event was very positive, reflecting on the scientific quality of the programme as well as the welcoming atmosphere throughout the week.
“I just want to thank you yet again for the truly excellent summer school. The choice of speakers was excellent, everything was so smoothly organised, and your session in particular was extremely interesting. I only heard good things from the others; we all think it was a great success. So once again: very big thank you!â€
“As a beginner who was not very familiar with either the current research frontier or the historical development of the field, the summer school gave me a much clearer understanding of the questions that leading scholars care about, how the literature has evolved, and what meaningful directions future research may take. The lectures also helped me develop many new intuitions and research ideas that I hope to explore further…It has been a truly memorable experience and a wonderful way to mark the end of my second year as a PhD student.â€
“Everything was so well organised, and I had a fantastic experience. Most of the course content was new to me and wasn’t covered in my first-year PhD coursework training. I really learned a lot from it, especially since my Chapter 2 uses a continuous-time corporate finance model... I cannot thank you more for making all of this happen.â€
“I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Prof. Roberto Steri and Prof. Enrique Schroth for organising such a wonderful and rewarding Summer School. This programme was truly insightful, and it was a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas with participants and speakers here in Luxembourg.â€
“It was a great opportunity to learn from the lectures and to exchange ideas with fellow PhD students working in the field. As an economics PhD student in macro-finance, I benefited a lot from the chance to deepen my understanding of finance theory and its applications. I really appreciated the thoughtful organisation and the welcoming atmosphere throughout the week.â€
“I just wanted to thank you again for the excellent organisation of the COAP Summer School. Absolutely brilliant, like the previous two conferences.â€
The organisers would like to warmly thank all lecturers, participants and the FNR for their support in making this edition of the COAP Summer School a success.
