Our research focuses on the social impact of digitalisation and related questions of applied ethics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our mission is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Analyse the ethical and societal challenges arising from digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence (AI).<br>\u2022 Explain and evaluate these challenges for both digital professionals and the general public.<br>\u2022 Advise the government, public administrations, educational institutions, companies, and international players working with AI and big data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 2025 and located on Belval Campus, ULIDE will integrate scientific discourse, political consulting, and public communication. Our researchers collaborate across the University\u2019s Faculties and Interdisciplinary Centres, bridging disciplinary boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Institute builds on pioneering initiatives such as Digital Luxembourg, AI4Gov, and the Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH). We actively engage with key national projects and leverage both national and international networks. This strengthens our research and outreach activities, ensuring that our contributions are globally informed and locally relevant.
