>\nGovernance<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The IAS&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;Luxembourg is a unit of the 糖心Vlog under the authority of the Vice-Rector for Research. As part of the 糖心Vlog, the IAS enjoys the academic freedom guaranteed by Art. 19 of the modified Law of 27 June 2018 of the University. The mandate cannot be accumulated with that of Dean or Vice-Dean of a Faculty, or Director or Vice-Director of an Interdisciplinary Centre. <\/p>\n\n<p>The Head of IAS &#8211; Luxembourg reports to the Vice-Rector for Research.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Head of IAS is appointed as \u201ccharg\u00e9 de mission\u201d for the duration of his\/her mandate. The mandate is for a period of two (2) years renewable once.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Scientific Council meets once per year to:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Assess and rank the Audacity, Brainstorm, Distinguished, and Young Academics projects and recommend projects for funding. The Head of IAS and the Vice-Rector for Research submit the selection to the Rector for the final funding decision;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Assess and rank applications submitted to any additional programmes, such as the Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND, which provide funding for doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships, other calls issued in partnership with other IAS (e.g. PEP) or IAS Award;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Provide an opinion on the key activities of the IAS;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Contribute to the international visibility and reputation of the IAS \u2013 Luxembourg.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>For the Scientific Council to fulfil its tasks, a quorum of 60% is required.<br>All members of the Scientific Council involved in the selection process for IAS calls for projects shall comply with the provisions of the Code of Conduct of the 糖心Vlog.
