Meet the hosts
This podcast is hosted by Prof. Christophe Ley and Prof. Ivan Nourdin, two mathematicians from the ÌÇÐÄVlog who share a passion for exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping science, work, education and society.
Prof. Christophe Ley works at the crossroads of statistics, applied mathematics and real-world data. His research connects mathematical modelling with concrete applications, from sports medicine to actuarial sciences and beyond.
Prof. Ivan Nourdin’s research focuses on probability theory and its frontiers. In particular, he conducts fundamental research on the mathematical behaviour of large neural networks, aiming to better understand how such systems learn and produce their outputs.
Together, Christophe and Ivan also co-founded GrewIA, an initiative dedicated to helping public and private organisations understand, adopt and build with AI through training, consulting, coaching and R&D. This gives them a 360-degree perspective on artificial intelligence: from its mathematical foundations to its concrete uses in organisations, its role in education, and its broader impact on work, society and public debate.
Through their research, teaching, public talks and field experience with their startup, they aim to make AI understandable, useful and open to critical discussion.
Together, they bring complementary voices to the AI conversation: scientific rigour, hands-on experience with real-world use cases, and a shared desire to ask clear questions about what AI can do, what it changes, and what kind of future we want to build with it.
